The impact climate change has on NZ.

The impact climate change has on Aotearoa.

We are learning to explain how climate change affects our environment in Aotearoa.

We have been learning about climate change so recently we have been doing research about climate change.Room 6 has been learning more and more every day with whaea Lainie. What is climate change??? Climate change describes a change in the average conditions  such as temperature and rainfall  in a region over a long period of time. NASA scientists have observed, Earth's surface is warming, and many of the warmest years on record have happened in the past 20 years.

Firstly, in my point of view, I want to explain how when the sun gets too hot it may evaporate the sea water. If the water evaporates all the water our sea animals will die and we’ll have no more Tuna in the creeks and then the kids and adults can’t have swims to cool off in the summer. I think we should start making a difference by… stop burning fires. Start reducing waste, maybe stop using our cars as much plus the sun can’t straight away evaporate our water because the heat would need to get through our greenhouse out layer.

Another problem is if it stays sunny for too long our plants will die because they will have no water and if it rains too much our plants will also die because there is no sun to evaporate some water. I think we should start putting our plants in shady and sunny places so then it would be more equal for the plants to get rain and sun.  If there is too much sun then we will be in drought again.

In conclusion, I think that we should make sure to have enough water like how we have water tanks, we could make pipes that can catch water then take it to our water tanks then that way we’ll still have water to grow our crops and still drink water. Fires increase, this can affect our world  because they have been getting bigger which can warm the Earth by the heat. This is all a huge problem but we can make a difference if we stop burning fires and over cooling NZ we will live  in a happy world.

  Pollution

W.A.L.T describes an environmental problem and explains what people do to reduce its impact on our world.First I would like to talk about what pollution is.

Pollution is something introduced into the environment that is dirty, unclean or has a harmful effect.Pollution is also a load of litter all around the place. We can find pollution in the sea on the land and everywhere else.Problem.(1)

Pollution is problematic because it has affected the sea life and the land living animals.Did you know that when you throw your rubbish into the water about 1,000 years later it would have finally broken down but the plastic will still be there. The plastic will be there known as micro plastic.Solution.(1)

My solution is people could stop throwing plastic on the land and start putting it in the rubbish bins. Then that way sea creatures would stop suffering in pain from plastic.

What plastic does.Plastic can affect all kinds of animals but mainly our sea life.Did you know that plastic has killed 10 million marine life animals.Plastic also has been estimated that it has killed 100,000 land living creatures.Where does plastic go?

Plastic goes to the beach sometimes and then the wind will blow it into the water and once in the water it stays in the water. Some of it stays on the surface and some goes to the bottom. We can stop it by starting a plastic free world.Problem.(2)

Pollution is a problem because it kills our environment.Solution.

In conclusion, to stop pollution we can...

  • Reduce the number of trips you take in your car.

  • Reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove use.

  • Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials.Thirdly I want to explain how and what we can reuse. We can reuse•plastic bottles.•plastic bags.•G.O.O.S.E paper.•cardboard boxes.•old wood. How will we reuse it?We will reuse old wood by using knives to peel off all of the mold and unhealthy bark.We can reuse plastic bottles by using them as water bottles. People can reuse G.O.O.S.E paper because it means good on one side.So if one side of the paper is all covered with drawing you can use the other side.People should reuse cardboard boxes because children might want to use them for projects,to make a car or for a fort.

This is room ones last weeks mahi on what you visualises.

this is my work that we were doing for science our science was about a balloon and a cup and with those to items we actually had fun at school.

Today we were with whaea Annie and we done another Dear diary doc I thought that it was kind of fun but not really cause it was typing on the bright side it's better than nothing.

Dear Diary, I am looking forward to the holidays because I will get to sleep in for 2 whole weeks counting 3 days as well but the best part is no SCHOOL cause no school means no math, reading, and writing. Now that it’s nearly the holidays I might be allowed to go up to Kaitaia for one week what I really want to happen is to go to 90 mile beach have a swim go for walk, drive our truck through Te Paki stream, drive up to cape reinga then we could go home and watch movies all night. With Western,Faith and River-Lee.Another idea I had was they come down to Kaikohe for the second week and we’ll go all around Kaikohe and get them some stuff and have breakfast together. Ka kite Diary from Chance.😉😜😉😜😉

PAT testing

                            ⇧                    My test

                                     WALT Wright a reflection

To day we had a PAT test it was kind of fun getting to learn stuff I did not know already from reading the text it was also  unitertaiming at the same time  cause I get board very easy so I thought that this test was a 90%100  but I don’t think I got full parent for it so next time in term 3 I will try harder and  use perseverance  to bileave so I can get full parcent  for my test. My mum and dad will be very proud of me and it will prepare me for collage years and help me get good grades.

On the good side I learned how to .👨‍🍳
